Yes - it clearly was just a highly orchestrated talk-fest. Rudd never meant to take any notice of anything he didn't want to hear.

But it is all irrelevant now -he would say - because the finances of the world are now in disarray which wasn't the case in April.

Well sorry Kev07 - the fact is that the Murray Darling issue is still there and getting worse, and your Penny W has clearly shown that she ain't got a clue. Your climate change guru can't make up his mind. Julia has started to find that "fixing" industrial law is harder than she ever thought. Computers in Schools is now a bad joke, and Conroy has no idea where to start with the Fast Broadband access for all.

Tax reform is further away than ever, and any regulation or deregulation of the financial system ( eg the short-selling farce) is a total joke.

One year on and the Rudd Government is just not up to it! Thanks Bernard for putting it all into context.

Bernard this piece deserved much comment for its succinct analysis of a Government in sleep mode. The usual pretenders who blindly cherish every word form Kev07 seem to be asleep today - or they're feeling guilty.
