		<description>Andre Rieu is indeed a magnificent success and so was ,as you mentioned ,Neil Diamond in 1979...  But even bigger were Torvill and Dean when they first toured Australia immediately after the 1984 Winter Olympic Games. Coming here for just 9 performances they ended up doing 50 shows around the country (including outdoor shows in tropical Townsville, yep, oudoor ice !!) and sold in excess of 650,000 tickets. They returned several times over the next few years always selling out . </description>

		<description>I popped into Peter&#039;s of Kensington the other day. Their CD racks are almost entirely taken over by the works of this guy and I had never heard of him! Just the latest example in the great tradition of no-one ever going broke under-estimating the taste of the broad population.</description>
