For some reason this corp collapse of ABC linked to the GFC circumstance reminds me of the subprime collapse in this way. Both provided critical provision of services in a decent society, one being childcare said to be crucial to economic life and growth for willing workers, the other shelter for several million in USA cities also arguably critical to maintaining social stability and yes perhaps a normal economic life.

So you can say it was bad governance that made all those sub prime loans. But where were they going to live if not empty investor homes? And you can say it was poor governance that's caused the crash of ABC. But who was going to promote an expansion (?) of the childcare sector in a low unemployment paradigm (which no longer exists)?

What was critic's affordable model for ramping up the provision of those services in quick measure, like a few years for very large numbers. Just asking. In the meantime by all means kick butt on poor governance but let's hear the better socio economic solution in context.
