Having followed this case for years I have never been able to understand why the man was ever convicted on the so-called evidence and on the supposition that it was naked self-promotion.

It's not as if a state parliament seat is such a great prize really is it?

I think a Royal Commission into the ALP and the corrupt cops in NSW is in order with many heads to roll.

Reba Meagher could hardly have been unaware of the evidence presented during Ngo’s trial, given (as we now know) her close involvement in the events immediately surrounding Newman’s death, so why has she never offered up this account before?

First political assassination?

You missed the juicy bit that the reason Reba was offered the Cabramatta seat, was so that she would NOT CONTEST the upcoming NSW Federal seat of Robertson - which as we all now know - went to MRS Della - the infamous Belinda Neal.

Why didn’t Reba come forward with this information before? There have been several inquiries and opportunities to put forward evidence that if accurate is crucial to Ngo’s sentencing. Or are we now getting the evidence of political players deeming their careers more important than people. The NSW Labor Party resembles the mafia - in fact the entire state labor movement is decidedly looking the antithesis of ‘the people’s party’.

NOT Australia’s first political assassination guys!!! Get it right!!! Without having the details at my fingertips I recall a display at Riverton Railway Station (SA), where some politician was shot on the platform around the turn of the last century. If I were less incensed at the regular repetition of this fallacy, I would do the research myself and give you better references, but it’s all out there, just do your job!
