Think they have confused the Australian ones a little.
The Age is more interested in Bart and the AFR in ABC.
They got the right MX however
Yes well, Obama didn’t actually go out and chop down the trees himself did he. And at least he ain’t killed a million or so Iraqis.
It so amusing to see all the Australian Front pages shown have pictures of race horses.
The stupid US Founding Fathers didn’t have enough foresight to make their Presidential elections fall every 4 years on the Melbourne Cup day … which shows just how the Americans have no idea about what is important in life.
It’s not about democracy it’s about a load of men in suits they have probably hired because they usually wear board shorts and thongs and silly girls in even sillier hats getting pissed while a group of horses which are far better bred than the spectators run around in a circle.
So disapointed they didnt use the Deep Zoom funtionality of Silverlight for all those images
It is a pity that our input to this impressive souvenir is spoilt by the fact that the polls had barely opened when Australian Wednesday morning papers were finalised for publication. Never mind it’s a ripper, and no doubt people less computer-challenged than me can make their own corrective inserts from Thursday’s front pages.
Niall, I noticed the Australian ones too. I think they just got the wrong day, forgetting AEDST is 16 hours ahead of Eastern US time, and 19 ahead of US Pacific time.
