The report alleged that during the phone conversation Mr Bush asked Mr Rudd what the G20 was.

Mr Rudd says Mr Bush did not ask him the question.

“The President of the United States has consistently emphasised the importance of the G20 in response to the global financial crisis,” he said.

“The purpose of my call to the President was specifically to discuss the role of the G20.

“That was the explicit purpose of the call and the President did not make the remarks that have been attributed to him in the article in question.

“The spokesmen for my office underlined that fact in subsequent statements once that particular article was produced.”

I rest my case.

Of course the CEO of News Ltd just happens to be in town, so the leading a..e oles at The Australian just have to try and impress the boss. It does no credit to Murdoch that he allows his editors to continue employing junky jurnos. The organisation is riddled with them. Mind you any employer who pays the likes of Bill O’Reilly at Fox millions a year, to lie and beatup on anyone who doesnt share his distorted view of the world obviously isn’t too worried about the likes of Sheridan, Bolt, Akerman and Co.

Who gives a flying f………..k is the question? Bush is worse than a dead man walking and there is no way in hell that Rudd would have “insulted” even a dead man so why are you all hyping yourselves into a ridiculous frenzy over nothing?
