Crikey, why do you continually publish these people? The idea for an Aussie Mac is a terrible one that will only drive house prices higher, and Christopher Joye has a vested interest in this through his equity finance mortgage business, which does not make a profit if house prices stagnate or fall.

By most measures, housing has never been less affordable. Just as the answer to making food cheaper isn't printing more money, making housing cheaper is not about making credit easier to obtain.

I think crikey are only publishing this ridiculous claptrap by Gans to get a reaction from its readers. No one with half a braincell could countenance an "Aussie Mac". And eveyone who reads these idiotic scrawlings from Gans the paid real-estate industry shill knows that were we to have one, it would simply end up going bankrupt just like its Freddie and Fannie counterparts in the USA, providing a perfect opportunity for the merchants of debt to loot the Australian taxpayer, just like they did to US taxpayers. Incidently, "Gans" in Dutch mean "Goose". A very fitting last name for Joshua.
