Frankly when it comes to standards, News Ltd and Fairfax share the same belligerent holier than thou bed. I notice the only one writing any sense in the SMH to date has been Andrew West who at least has a good knowledge of the various factions. The screeching about political factions, as though somehow they are confined to just Labor when there wouldn't be a leader in the western world who isn't aligned to a faction and holds power because of them treats the general public as though they are morans and actually care. Who cares how Rees got the job-it's his performance from here on that counts. The garbage headline was a piece of garbage itself. Sad how the SMH is rapidly decling. Well put Alex.
