Pathetic article seeking to fool everyone with its specious 'analysis' . The VFMC and TAC (Victoria) are senastaional, balanced fund managers- why not compare their performance across the world. Lazy analysis, poor writing.
I had a car accident and was in the emergency lane stationary reading my Melways to find directions to get to work which in 2004 was in the construction industry MR Tim.
I was hit from behind by a drunk driver and suffered 9 broken ribs 3 of which were quite snapped, two transverse processes were snapped as well as undiagnosed knee injury and a buggered spine.
I further more recently had finally recieved "some" further relevant diagnosis of what had happened to my hip, but the TAC refused funding for the MRI.
Well then!!!.......
With respect to misallocation of resources, this was for me tantamount to what i had allready guessed so far, being that TAC more interested in appropriating funding to "OTHER THINGS" like legal costs which this case would have been approximately 40,00 dollars.
The decision to refuse funding for the hip were on the basis of only ONE!.....initial report conducted by a rheumatologist conducted in 2004 two months after the accident, even though new medical evidence had been acumalating all the while.(4YEARS) (It took two months to get a diagnosis for brocken ribs initialy) and was obvious to every body else that this injury was caused by the car impact.
The point is dear "TIM", our last blogger here, that the TAC "heads" responsible for my case managment, allowed the matter to go to court in the light of quite massive overwhelming medical evidence. The cost to the TAC must have been, about 40.000$, but even so off we all went. My costs were for petrol, parking, sleepless nights and endless worry. I arrived in court where the TAC solicitors dropped my case, and agreed to pay for the MRI, and later appologised for my long trip from the country .
So MR "TIM" who obviously hasn't heard of "Fractional Reserve Banking" yet is, where did all that money come from to represent a phoney case that only needed some polite inquiry to specialists or my doctors to resolve??
Had i lost the self represented case, i would be on the public system completely!!
