We all knew when push comes to shove management decides, particularly when its interests are in question. Seems the charter was just a piece of paper. In 2005 George Bush said the same about the US constitution - "Just a Goddamned Piece of Paper.” This was the same year Las Vegas' second newspaper went digital only. Maybe The Age is ultimately destined for the same fate and management know it. The ultimate cost saving is a newspaper without paper or presses. The Aging home delivery market will hate it.
