Sacrificing quality newspapers in response to the growing internet market is shortsighted.
Media groups need to advertise their websites and the best way to do that is through a quality newspaper.
Fairfax and others need to remember why other organisations have traditionally advertised in newspapers.
Otherwise they risk the fate of business operators who forget their Yellow Pages ads.
Putting reporters on the footpath in chicken suits would be news but not the best use of the talent.

Can't Crikey simply ask Kirk and McCarthy to go back and re-write their article/release/message.. in terms that communicate and relate to their readership, mainstream audience and/or viewers...a simple credible command from my print, radio and TV editors decades ago?.
