Urban consolidation is supposed to include public space, recreation and sporting facilities, public transport, schools, hospital ... all those amenities that human beings, future citizens and sport people need particularly in areas of high density. Instead Minister Sartor compromises urban planning , by forcing shoddy developments for quick profits without these public amenities. Just ask the residents living in the high rise precincts of Hornsby and Waitara where their nearest patch of green space is. We need funding for mass-participation in sport far more that funding elites, and it starts with good urban planning which is not compromised.
