I just posted the following at an article from last week, but it’s more appropriate to post it in the current Crikey version: Quick one for you John James - if all human life is sacrosanct, does that make all military operations which go anywhere near civilian settlement (eg all of them) just as evil as abortion? And therefore leaders advocating military responses to anything (ie McCain) as evil as you perceive Obama to be? And if not, why not? Are foetuses more valuable than civilians unfortunate enough to live where bombs are falling?

Interestingly, Biden is a working class Catholic who’s been picked because those working class Catholics can pick “spin” better than most and Obama is full of it.
Unfortunately, Biden is pro abortion, and those Reagan Democrats can smell that sh*t from miles away.

The best thing going for Obama is the effect of a black man (esp with the name Obama) being seen to be leader of USA.

There would indeed be a psychic change in perception within and from without of that country for the good.

However it reflects badly on him personally and on The Dems generally that this is his best supporting argument

Yep, even I would have voted for Hils.
He should have let the crowd in Germany do his talking.
However they were cheering for relief from their deep depression with Bush America not a black man. Biden represents Obama's shallow understanding of 'change' while he didn't have the personal guts to nominate Hils and do an irresistible unsurpassable historic double.
