But not so much on the front pages of Australia’s quality broadsheets…

    What else could you expect in a sports centric country like Australia.

    In order to get to the news in the newspaper in the morning you need to bypass the sports pages which are deemed to be so important as to take prominence. At least with the Australian you can discard the sports section at the front and get to the real news quickly.

    Wow, what an embarrassing reflection on the state of reporting in Australia. Seems that NEWS needs to be either the Aussies winning or a Qantas pilot being caught breaking wind…

    Maybe NewsCorp and Fairfax think this whole Georgia thing is some sort of minor issue from the deep south of America? Funny story - at the RWC in Sydney back in 2003, Georgia was playing Sth Africa. Georgia scored a try - we all cheered, then they played “Georgia on my mind” by Ray Charles… The bogans are taking over the country…
