Twiggy Forest must be the only company exec with firm China contracts that won't divulge who is buying his ore. Strange. Let's hope that it does not turn out that the sale contracts were as binding as the initial "binding" contracts to build the infrastructure. And where is the credibility in Twiggy playing games with BHP / Rio over rail access yet he seems rather rreluctant to commit to letting any juniors onto his rail and port facilites. Just more spin from a spin doctor with a dubious record? Twiggy's nickel mine loooked good for 5 minutes before reality caught up with it.

At least Forrest is having a crack at making a difference - especially In WA where the state government's failure to do anything of strategic value to address the appalling state of Aboriginal communities is shameful. Western Australians of any conscience - and particularly those with means - live with the horror of it every day and dream of making a difference. Offering jobs without training support is meaningless as Forrest well knows. We should give him credit for taking the initiative.

I'm with Diana. I'm a Labor voter and I'm a WA public servant and I can tell you that the State government have done little to address Aboriginal issues here. Almost anything of substance has been done by the Commonwealth. The State has had the Gordon Inquiry Report for years and vacillated on implementing its sensible recommendations. They spend money on more reports and more consultation instead of getting on and doing something positive. If Forrest wants to have a go then good on him. Education and employment are the key to Aboriginal issues and the State government should help instead of fiddling about with tin pot programs and more talk.
