Seeing it was held from 15 - 20 July, it is not yet thirty days since bills became payable ie on completion of service and submission of an invoice. Is there a special standard set for Catholics to pay bills? I guess the collector of scuttlebut at Tips and Rumours anticipates....what? Three days? Well, whille the Resurrection set a gold standard of three days to deliver on a promise, I doubt Australian business practice will try to match that. Here's a real story - check the time frame for large bureaucracies (public and private) to pay bills, year in and year out. Quite ironic that Crikey is able to blend a conservative 1930s style anti-catholic strand with a progressive/ socialist political feel…although i guess the new religion of the global warming / left wing evangelicals is just as intolerant as any other…the new black indeed !

The tip is that WYD is in breach of numerous contracts. You have no information whatsoever this is not the case. But it's somehow "anti-Catholic". So, it's a fundamental tenet of Catholicism that bills must not be paid on time, is it? That would be the only way that tip was anti-Catholic. But then, papist die-hards have never let the facts get in the way of having a go at anyone criticising anything to do with the church, have they? Pathetic, John.
