Much as you may delight in having yet another go at Geoff Dixon I hate to tell you that the announcement of the new CEO has been planned to happen at this time for the last 3 months. It comes as no surprise to anyone - but of course yourself. All credit to Qantas for sticking to the planned announcement. But hey Stephen, who you gonna pick on when Geoff leaves next year?

Alan Joyce to head Qantas. Is this a prank? Who can remember the mad charge for seats when Jetstar commenced operations. The reason AJ gave was “it is faster to load this way” Load from the front and allow the rest to push past them. Remember the early check in counters, when the arriving passengers were channeled into queues dedicated to one destination ,and the operators in other check in areas were left with nothing to do. What about the horror stories of passengers arriving, eventually, at the check in to be told “this flight has now closed” Next. In all my travels over the last 30 years Jetstar is the only airline to charge me overweight baggage. 15million people have voted Jetstar the best airline in the world, so the press releses tell me. I dont think so!
