Please name the "greenhouse mafia", their representatives and the companies they are influential in , whether as owners, managers or investors.

I want to know so I can write to them, picket them, and boycott their products.

Political power is a drug I reckon, and Rudd is an addict. He was as unlikely to spend his political capital than a junkie turn in a cash filled wallet to the local cop shop. Good to see Clive up to the business here, God knows we need serious thinkers at a dangerous scary time like this. Here's a prediction - A cyclone or if you prefer a hurricane sooner or later is going to stalk more southerly latitudes. Brisvegas will cop one before Sydney does most likely. A cyclone like Tracey in Darwin. If and when that happens no amount of weasel words will sustain Kevin's addiction. Won't ever happen? Just like the North Pole will always have ice ...

If we are going to use bribes to pay off the coal lobby let us at least get something for our money. Let us give the emitters money but only if they stop producing emissions. If they sell their permits then the money they obtain MUST be spent on building green infrastructure generation systems like solar thermal, geothermal, windmills. Money must be spent with some other company. Any permits they buy then the recipients of the money have to spend the money on green infrastructure.
Clive, all the think tankers and others who sit in air conditioned offices and rant have no idea about the practical expenses for the least able to sit in those offices.

With all due respect, you also seem to have a hard time with the English language and refuse to differentiate between discussion and bloody policy.

Driving me crazy the lot of you. Kevin Rudd simply cannot fix a 100 year f.........g mess in a minute or the twitch of his nose.

You ought to tell us what you are doing beside killing trees for your books.

We live in a world powered by fossil fuel that was designed for a time when it was cheap and plentiful.
That world no longer exists.
Instead of focusing on the positive and fantastic opportunity presented to build the world of the future, our "leaders" waste precious time trying to delay the inevitable demise of the world of the past.
We must turn our backs on it, move on, and rebuild.
This time, we have to build a world designed for fossil fuels that are significantly more expensive.
As with any change, the last of the old like brown coal will always out-perform the first of the new like solar or wind. But it will not be too long before the new proves its true worth.

"You never change anything by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model and make the existing model obsolete." Buckminster Fuller.
