Of course he had the comfort (alluded to in the article) last election of knowing that he was not entering government and so could comfortably oppose the Howard tax cuts. Unlike Rudd who although he was a mile ahead in the polls still could not quite believe it and so the 'me-tooism' tax cuts. BB's focus on household efficiency is actually excellent stuff. Bravo!<br />I agree with Bernard Keane that they must now enter the real world and start to behave as a significant political party and give up on granstanding. In comparison, the actions of both the government and the Liberals look like a scene from ‘Hollowmen’ or ‘Yes Minister’ as both desperately seek ways of solving the problem without causing anyone, most of all themselves, pain. <br />Let it be known, there is no way to solve this problem without it costing some economic pain.
