Is Walt Secord who berated aged care lobbyists inJustine Elliott's ofice the same Walt Secord who advised Bob Carr and the NSW parliament a few years ago about a student with a gun who was supposedly threatening a school masacre at Cecil Hills High School in Sydneys west ? If so, then the track record of the media manager in relation to the alleged "massacre" was seriously flawed .

How do they keep getting jobs in the political arena ?

That realestate.com.au article is wrong too. To claim for loss of commissions, you would have to show that the property in question had not sold (not just not sold now, but not sold at any time up until the date of the trial), but would have been sold to one of the people who sent the missed emails. Incredibly unlikely.

As previous correspondents have noted..no such animal as a Qantas 777...maybe code sharing but sloppy journalism nevertheless.

Seems there are a number of aviation enthusiasts amongst the crikey crew! I'm guessing it was an Airbus A330? (twin engined like the 777). These rumours should be passed by Ben Sandilands before they're published.

Not only does Qantas not fly any 777s. There is no flight QF89 from Hong Kong to Melbourne on a Saturday night, or anytime. Nor is there a QF89 to anywhere. And anyway. What does it mean "and under my feet at the emergency exit, I was red hot" Was it hot under the seat? or 'hot under the collar'. I suppose I would be, if the storey was true.
