I was watching the Carlton/Collingwood game on Sunday and the camera focused on Pratt in the stands and sitting beside him John Elliott. They were looking very glum as Collingwood was leading at that stage. I (a pies fan) thought “what a pair”. Thanks to you now I know they had things, other than Carlton in common.

Richard Pratt has little to fear. Western Governments have spent decades corrupting the judicial system. They do it so they can protect their friends and attack their enemies. If it ever goes to a courtroom, assuming it gets past an appointed head of the DPP, it will be heard by a Judge appointed by Labor or Liberal, and as long as Richard has maintained his friendships and donations to both parties, he will get a few hours of community service which no one will ever audit. Such is our wonderful and transparent democratic process.

Maybe they should put Graeme in charge of the ACCC and ASIC. At least Graeme has a go. I have a suspicion that he is a man of some considereable integrity and principles. We could do a lot worse than him!

The odds that pratt will get a jail sentence are high..however a suspended sentence is the most likely outcome. I was at that AICD luncheon address yesterday and I’m quite impressed with graeme samuel’s evident truculence and command of his domain . he made the point that an FTC commissioner had noted in connection with his intention to obtain criminal sanctions for cartel behaviour that ’ if Graeme gets this up he will have achieved something very big indeed ‘. graeme samuel is an ambitious man who considers himself on the cusp of greatness it is evident .As one who has done some time I am aware of the contrariness of the judicial system . Graeme Samuel the man will weigh heavily on the presiding judge I’m sure.

Very little to fear.
I suppose it’s a national characteristic to celebrate those who rip off the masses.
I read this and turned on the tv to find a sporting disgrace being celebrated on Ch9 (fee to charity tho’ I expect).
I’m probably biased tho’ because I lost a lot of super a while back …
