I know that my response is very late (blame holidays!) but I don't want this to pass without response. (Don't know whether these comments are monitored over time!). i cannot agree more with the writer's comments. Harm minimisation (so lambasted when it came to religion previously), to me, is the most important response to ALL illegal drug use. Tax it (good for the economy), regulate it (so that we know the ETOH/whatever the main drug content is) so that we don't die as Indians do with "home brew" and use the health/community sector to assist those who end up with problems, as we do with the legal drugs. Don't give people criminal records - don't send them into the criminal milieu.
