Crikey Says

Kevin Rudd’s entry in the visitors’ book at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park:

Let the world resolve afresh, from the ashes of this city, to work together for the common mission of peace for this Asia-Pacific century, and for a world where nuclear weapons are no more.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have elected a tosser.

What, pray tell, would Crikey’s editorial-writer have written in the Hiroshima visitors’ book, if Rudd’s effort makes him a tosser? Talk about a cheap shot, Crikey. This gutless and graceless editorial was written by a tosser hiding behind convenient anonymity. Pathetic.

I don’t think it was the comment the Rudd wrote which raised the Editor’s ire, it was more the advertisement which he placed beneath it (funny, it seems to change every time I visit this page).
