You do need to ackowledge though that your profession is the dominant interest group in this mess. Some of the medical organisations like the AMA actively work against the very sensible ideas that you put forward. And by the way, we all know that there are no votes in the marginalised and hence there is no incentive to assist, the bulk of care still goes to the worried well.
