		<description>I not at all sure that Macklin or Rudd are as committed to the necessary intervention in the Territory as they have claimed. Far from it I suspect. The politics seem more important than the children quite frankly. Brough as the architect and champion of that bold move is to be saluted even if Howard at the time hammed it up and made it unnecessarily political at a time when he already had bipartisan support. Brough showed real leadership and I believe it was one of the more unfortunate results of the election rout to see him lose his seat.</description>
