Guy, is it possible you are being far too pessimistic and the US is smart enough to go for Obama? I even heard a conservative former US General say on Lateline last night that Obama was the best hope for getting the US out of Iraq and changing the destructive reliance on military action that he believes has developed in the States over recent decades. Obama does seem to provide the greatest contrast to calamity Bush
