It wasn't like anyone (apart from Family First) actually wanted the Howard version of filtering - the take up rate was abysmal. Why the Rudd government thinks doing anything at all in this area is worthwhile is a complete mystery. Perhaps it's just a sop to Fielding. But $125.8m is a pretty big sop. God save us from Net Alert lite. It wasn’t like anyone (apart from Family First) actually wanted the Howard version of filtering - the take up rate was abysmal.
