Classic a priori there 'don mcd'. So how would you know how peasants in Tibet are going NOW champ? What in fact is there by way of baseline open source info for the last 50 years? This is in fact the problem . No democracy you dufus. If you had just mentioned lack of access and free speech once "I would be a lot more convinced [you] are genuine and no [sic] just" another China/IOC/AOC Inc denialist $tooge. Satan - get thee behind me! As for long suffering public servant vollie at 2020 I did ask myself before Blog Slog ripping into the secretive selection process and grotesque choreography whether one was just too jaded and cynical given the patriotic desire to serve even one feels at times. And then I thought about the NSW ALP machine and thought "nah" , not possible. Full marks for being naive though, hang on to that idealism I reckon for your own humanity.

without in any way defending the human rights of the Chinese government I have never seen a statement on the condition of the Tibetan peasants before the Chinese takeover they were serfs so its no wonder the then ruling class are so hostile to the Chinese. If the Tibetan champions would give as much prominence to the condition of the peasants under the former rulers as to the lack of present day human rights I would be a lot more convinced they are genuine and no just "bleeding hearts"taking up another cause

Further to Donald McDonald: Tibet is also a theocracy - so no real adherence to the rule of law, to 'democracy' or to anything except what the Dalai Lama thinks.

A Pox on both houses.
