If the NSW ALP State Conference is expected to defeat the electricity privatisation proposal by about 650 to 150 as widely reported, and if only one ALP branch in the State (Kiama) supports the privatisation (as reported in today's media) - then where do these supposed 150 belong in the ALP? If they can't even persuade their own branches, what right or hope do they have of being able to persuade Conference or the wider community? (Union delegates to conference must belong to a Branch; and party delegates must be elected by their State Electorate Council or Federal Electorate Council from members elected by a branch.)

Reading it further, Iemma, Costa, McDonald et al don't come from Kiama, so even they have not been able to persuade their own branches to their cause. Same question applies - assuming of course that they actually attend their own branches, otherwise their arrogance and conceit applies on an even greater scale than previously anticipated.

You must quickly drop Morris Iemma a note. Its always plausable that a polititian doesn't see the obvious for one reason or another.
I want to make it your duty today!
