Maybe the apparent accleration of Rupert's decision-making is just a reflection of his becoming even more confident of his judgement. I suppose it is endemic with most Australian media to criticise someone that has taken Australia and Australian talent to The World. There are not many (nor will be) many Rupert Murdoch's around. Just take a considered look at what he has achieved in his lifetime starting with The News in Adelaide. Pretty impressive, in anyone's view so why not be proud of this Australian that has employed thousands of Australians and others, trained journalists and communications executives and flown the Australian flag throughout the World? (Although he holds US CItizenship he will always be Australian whilst there's a hole in his arse) His lasting legacy (and he is not finished yet) is a world wide media and communications empire employing thousands, entertaining, educating and informing many and, with his Mother, Dame Elisabeth, The Murdoch Childrens Foundation. ANZAC season is a good time to consider the value of citizenship, you know like the thousands of young blokes who died for it to mean something.
