I don't know who is the more objectionable, you or David Flint. He with his sacred monarchy or you with your 2000 year old brand of Catholicism. It reached it's apogee at the time of Henry VIII. And we all know Henry's take on your religion. Why does a Catholic always come out with expressions such as "They champion an unparalleled assault on the innocent and the helpless with their call for abortion rights" Are you really so dense that you are unable to realize that people just have to read the first three words to know where you're coming from not to mention all the sanctimonious twaddle you stand for. What on earth is helpful when people reiterate the same dreary line ad infinitum. As Jack Lee says "Read the article John James, you old crank". I won't read you ever again because I now know that you're exactly the same as a Muslim fundamentalist, unreachable, and every bit as stupid. So, goodbye.
PS: your spelling could do with some improvement.

"..it's been forgotten what a longshot it is to get someone up from the left.." You mean that Guy and the crew from Crikey have just realised this! How long has Guy been on the payroll in the US?
That isnt just true in the US, its true almost universally. Do you ever see the ALP with a Left candidate for PM. No-one is that foolish, except maybe Jeff Sparrow and his Overland readership and some of Sophie Black's Hillary Clinton fan club.
The liberal left are bankrupt, morally and intellectually. They champion an unparalled assault on the innocent and the helpless with their call for abortion rights, they move to oppose all development not driven by 'renewable' sources of energy which means all, they oppose the creation of wealth as a filthy capitalist scam, they defend indefensible versions of history, they promote the isolation of the Indigenous Australians and so condemn them to their terrible fate and they prefer whales to people.
Whatever they're paying you Guy its too much

"Rundle didn't say that he had suddenly realised how difficult it was for someone to get up from the left, he said that the Democrats were just remembering it."
Give me a break! Are you serious? All I can say is that Guy should be working for the Democrats then because they are in deep sh*t ! They have just realised this? After George McGovern, Michael Dukakis, Al Gore, Jimmy Carter and Ralph Nader!
I'd advise Crikey to release Guy from his contract forthwith and get on that phone to Dick Morris.

I should not be surprised to see an apologist for the Left defending the killing of unborn children and a king who murdered several women and died of syphilis in the same breath. Kind of apt!

I suspect that Guy Rundle really means that he believes this continued race between Obama and Clinton is harming Democratic chances in the real race and we are seeing the Democrats self-destruct and possibly lose the un-losable. Secondly he really means that at this point in time his favoured candidate is ahead and not Clinton: so let it end now. The Democratic party couldn't organise a piss-up in the proverbial brewery and that is the real issue. Lack of intensity is not the issue. Be honest with your readership Mr. Rundle!
