A friend travelled to Sydney from the Sunshine Coast for the weekend and had her Saturday morning flight cancelled. She was offered a full refund or a change of flights. Considering it was for a party for a friend from overseas she had no option but to take the new flight time. So that made for a whole 25 hours in Sydney! But wait there's more...... with a further delay of an hour she had a huge 24 hours and I had to leave home mid-party to pick her up. A video not working is nothing in comparison. On 2 out of the 3 legs I flew with Blue last week the user pay video malfunctioned. What the punters did get was free but who'd bother. The week before Qantas ran the same tele-movie on the Broome/Perth and the connecting Perth/Canberra legs. Quality assurance! I don't bother with headphones anymore - just read the News sub-titles.
