M.P’s accepting largesse in this fashion must surely be aware that no one spends on someone like this without expecting something in return. It’s that something that really interests me.Plenty of room here for corruption on a massive scale.

Wasn’t this type of dilemma meant to be solved by increasing MPs incomes, allowances & junket opportunites in response to the cliche about paying peanuts - monkeys? Seems making monkeys richer simply made them greedier. MPs seem to think politics = rich.
