Abetz’s comments in response to the article are that he loathes socialism. Nothing about loathing fascism. Perhaps I have missed it but the lack of reference to fascism is very conspicious. His previous denials about human rights abuses are well documente

Balanced thought is not one of Abetz’s strong points. You need to keep that in mind with anything he says. He certainly does not apply the rules to himself that he applies to others. What about Dr Haneef’s case all because of whom he was related to?

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke! The Nazis wouldn’t tolerate dissent and neither does Eric.
