Absolutely agree with Alex that Wollongong is symbolic of what is happening all over NSW councils and that the Opposition is gutless and the media complacent.
Our Government- by-PR Premier Iemma, is trying to paint the Wollonggong scandal as some individuals who have ‘misbehaved’, when in truth his government has supported and nourished developers perverting the democratic process.
Try complaining about a council to the Department of Local Government (the statutory body which controls councils) and you will find that your name is put on a list of vexatious complainants. The media too, do little to highlight the shenanigans going on in local government.

Gee Alex, how could you omit the ALP Branch President gaoled for having under-age girls working in his brothel? But do your research - Arkle was a steeplechaser; the mayor was Frank Arkell.

SMH/Clennell web story 12.37 pm that Iemma has refused 2x to answer if he has asked stakeholder interests to a fundraiser at the SAME time subject to his portfolio. Story still searchable but off the webpage. Legal pressure at play?
