Some people say whatever they like; with no regard for facts I've read M and D Pearls books as a part of broader reading for my parenting. My 4 children are fantastic contributers to our society and we continually receive comments about how beautiful, friendly, kind and respectful they are. We're happy, and hope Cam S and K G are too. Lets be less critical, lets get off the computer and spend time with our kids, and with great thought and diligence, meet their spiritual, emotional mental and physical needs. I have the book, and have found it very helpful in raising four well adjusted children. Has Cam Smith ever read it??? I doubt it. There is no trace of "child abuse" in it. Mr John Angelico who sells it openly admits in an interview with The Age to caning his children. The Article is called Hitting kids by the book, based on Proverbs and pain.<br /><br />How on earth can extracts like this be misconstrued? "A swift swat with a light, flexible instrument will sting without bruising or causing internal damage. Many people are using a section of ¼ inch plumber’s supply line as a spanking instrument. It will fit in your purse or hang around you neck.
