Australian politics would have been spectacular had Malcolm Turnbull and Paul Keating gone head to head in parliament. Two statesmen, albeit with house sized egos, with integrity and sense of humour to boot. He might well get my vote next time round

Labour now occupies the centre right ground Turnbull repesents so how would his leadership reshape the Libs into something distinct? The Turnbull love in sect should have voted Labour. A vote for Turnbull was a vote for Howard's 'safe hands' rubbish.

Great insights. I reckon Malcolm would be the best leader. He appears a great thinker who would add to parliamentary debates.

Turnbull is an opportunistic, wealthy banker with a power fetish. I'd be happy to see him fail as Lib leader and would despair for the remaining shreds of public assets, like water for example, if ever he became PM. The zeitgeist we don't need.
