Seinfeld coverage for the Seinfeld election. The second lead story in Crikey is precisely the same waffle we’ve been reading everywhere for 8 months. Funny how in 8 months the press gallery never thought to look at voters, only ask political staffers.

The polls can be wrong if they are methodologically flawed, and they are: pollsters never call mobile phones, only landlines. Many wealthier people now only use mobile and wireless data, eschewing landlines altogether. Liberals are thus underrepresented.

“The polls must be wrong”. Why? Why must they be wrong? Because intrest rates are increasing? Because climate change is real and JH doesnt believe it? Because work choices is one of the most unpopular reforms in history? Do you need any other reasons?

Howard would have gone 2004 but for Mark. He has been unpopular - as have Abbot, Downer and Costello - for a long time and many people just want a chance to eject him. I agree though that there is concern about Labor as a government. Not done yet I agree.
