Last time I looked we went to Holy Scripture for guidance and not to extra-biblical revelation. Shouldn't we view such statements as "The Lord told me to spend some personal time with Prime Minister John Howard and to prophetically prepare Federal Treasurer Peter Costello as the future Prime Minister of Australia" with a considerable amount of skepticism? I can't understand why this was even forwarded to us unless all of a sudden we are a people who believe in such extra-biblical prophecies. Danny Nalliah likens himself to the biblical Samuel anointing the next king of Israel. Give me a break! He claims, "I will boldly declare that Prime Minister John Howard will be re-elected in the November election (if the Body of Christ unites in prayer and action) and pass the leadership onto Peter Costello sometime after." Notice the way he worms out of the implications of his prophecy NOT coming to pass (which by Old Testament standards would be his being stoned to death). It is only "if the Bod

Pastor Danny Nalliah has done wrong in so many ways:
1.	It is alright to gather facts and information about election candidates to provide guidance to Christians to make a more informed choice but it is wrong to use prophecy to influence the vote of Christians.
2.	If he has such a prophecy, and God instructs that it be revealed, then the audience should be only to the person to whom the prophecy concerns – in this case, the candidate. There is no reason why anybody else should know about it. The object of such prophecy would be to encourage the candidate that God is with him and confirm whatever leading the individual candidate would have.
3.	Although it is inadvisable, some Christian leaders make it known to people as to who their favoured candidate is and exercise their influence in the way their followers vote. To me this is unethical and crossing the line. We should never take away the free choice of followers and overly influence them such that if their choice differs from us,
