Former Liberal staffer turned whistleblower and now author Guy Pearse has left no stone unturned in his battle to expose the carbon club behind John Howard’s notorious climate change obstinance over the past decade.
Pearse’s book, High & Dry, was extracted in Good Weekend with some useful examination of how the various corporate members of the carbon club have poured donations into the Liberal Party.
The book itself does not include a carbon club honours list that Pearse has developed, noting the 61 members who have been officially decorated by the Government. Crikey can today reveal the full list, which also be published on the High & Dry website later this week.
Journalists include Miranda Devine, Christopher Pearson, Alan Jones, Greg Sheridan and Chris Mitchell and even Labor Party figures like Peter Walsh and Gary Gray have cracked what is a fascinating list.
It is remarkable how so few campaigners for action on climate change have been rewarded for their public service in recent years.
